WAE REBO : VILLAGE ABOVE THE CLOUDSWae Rebo is one of tradifional village in Flores. It's at the top of mountain at an altitude of 1.200 metres above sea level. Administratively, it is located in Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia. Some people aften call it "Village above the clouds" because it is surrounded by hills and tropical rainforest and aften shrouded in clouds.The people who live here are the Manggarain people. They live traditionaly and depanding on the farming, in particularly dryland farming. They produce variety of crops, including coffee, cocoa, cloves, cinnamon, various tubers, fruites and vegetables crops.To reach Wae Rebo, you will hike for approximately three to four hours throuhout tropical rainforest as it is depand on how fast you walk. When you get there, you will find connical - shaped buildings standing firmly and surrounded by green forests.You can choose to stay overnight there, to get to know the enviroment and the local people there better.
